Privacy Policy.

Most financial tools promise not to sell your data. We went a step further: we built a product that doesn't have your data to sell in the first place. Visentor is built on a "local-first" architecture, meaning your sensitive financial information stays on your device, not our servers.

We collect the bare minimum necessary to run the service:

• Account Information: Email and hashed password for Pro users to enable sync.
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics (page views, button clicks) to improve the UI. Internal identifying IDs are never linked to your financial data.
• Payment Data: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.

Your debt plans, card balances, and APRs are stored in your browser's IndexedDB. If you are a Pro user, this data is encrypted on your device using your private key before being synced to our servers. We cannot "see" your cards or balances even if we wanted to.

We use a limited number of third-party processors:

• Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management.
• Postmark: Delivery of transactional emails (login codes, receipts).
• Simple Analytics: Privacy-friendly analytics that doesn't use cookies or track IP addresses.

You have the right to export your data at any time (JSON/CSV) and the right to delete your account entirely. Since your financial data is stored locally, simply clearing your browser cache will also remove it from your device.

If you choose to connect a bank account via Plaid, we store on our servers: a Plaid access_token (encrypted) used to fetch account data, account balances, and your financial institution name. This data is used solely to populate your dashboard. We do not store your bank login credentials. You can disconnect your bank at any time from Settings, which immediately revokes the access token.

When you use the AI Advisor chat feature, context about your debt portfolio (card balances, APRs, and related financial data) is sent to OpenAI's API to generate a response. This data is used only to answer your query and is not retained by OpenAI for training purposes under our API agreement. You can review OpenAI's data usage policy at openai.com/policies.

For Free tier users, server-side synced data (if sync is enabled) is retained for 30 days of inactivity before automatic deletion. For Pro tier users, data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow account recovery. Locally-stored data on your device is never deleted by us — only you can clear it.

If you use Household mode, members of your household can view shared financial data (combined balances, payoff plans) according to the sharing settings you configure. Household members cannot access your individual account credentials or personal profile. You can manage household membership and sharing permissions at any time from Settings.
